Coastal Plains
The Coastal Plains is the largest region in Georgia and its landscape is made up of swamps, marshes, and flatland. It covers the South of Georgia. In the region, you can find many rivers including the Oconee, Ocmulgee, Flint, Savannah, St. Mary's and Altamaha Rivers. The soil is very poor, but Long Leaf Pine an Slash Pine grow well. The Coastal Plain is sometimes divided into 2 section, the Upper Coastal Plains and the Lower Coastal Plains.
