Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 took action right after The French and Indian War. The Proclamation was for to keep colonist off the newly acquired territory. The British wanted to have good relationship with the American Indians. Some of the colonist would agree, but some didn't like it. Some colonist wanted to have new farmland or find gold. So the prominent American colonist went to the British government and asked that they move the line farther west.
