Sentence Structure
Sentence structure is
Simple: A sentence that has only one independent clause. (Ex. The man stayed home.)
Compound: Sentence that has 2 or more dependent clauses (Ex. He was nice to the teachers, but he was mean to us.)
Complex : A sentence that has one independent clause and one or more dependent clauses. (Ex. In the valley, there was a creepy, old man .)
Compound-Complex: A sentence that has 2 or more independent clauses and 1 or more dependent clauses. (Ex. Although he was ugly, he was very kind to people, and likes to hug them.)
