The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was in action after the French and Indian War. The fund of the French and Indian War was a lot of money, so the British taxed the colonist on stamps or paper products. The colonist weren't to happy. The colonist wanted to have a say in their own government. Protesters refused to buy any paper product from England and the Sons of Liberty did violent actions such as breaking windows and torturing paper sellers. The tax was officially repealed on March 8, 1766.
